FAQ
Frequently asked questions: Personalised diagnostics in Mallorca
Is diagnostics just plugging in a scanner?
No. The scanner gives you fault codes, but a code doesn't always tell you which part has failed. We follow it up by inspecting the car until we've confirmed the cause.
If the warning light goes off by itself, is it fixed?
Not necessarily. The ECU stores the fault even after the light goes off. It's worth reading it to find out what happened.
Can I keep driving with the engine warning light on?
It depends. If it's flashing or the car loses power, stop and call us. If it's steady and the car drives normally, bring it in as soon as you can.
Do you do pre-purchase checks on used cars?
Yes. We inspect the car and read the ECU so you know what condition it's in before you pay.
How long does a diagnostic check take?
It depends on the fault. Reading the codes is quick; an intermittent fault can take longer. We keep you posted on WhatsApp with what we find.
